This Beef & Broccoli is fast and flavorful! Perfect for busy weeknights because it's ready in under 30 minutes. Tender strips of sirloin in an easy marinade and crunchy broccoli florets. This one is a family favorite!
1lbsirloin or flank steak, cut into small 1/4 inch thick pieces
16ozfresh broccoli florets
2tbspolive oil, extra virgin
salt and pepper to taste
additional Coconut Aminos for drizzling
Marinade
1/3cupCoconut Aminos
1tspgarlic, minced
1tspground ginger
1/2tspsalt
1/2tsppepper
1/2tspgarlic powder
1/2tsponion powder
Instructions
Marinate steak in all marinade ingredients for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Add olive oil to skillet on medium high heat. Once skillet is hot, add beef in a single layer. Do not pour in marinade that hasn’t been absorbed. Leave that in the container you used for marinating. If you add it now it will make it more difficult to brown our steak. We’ll deal with it in a few minutes.) Sauté steak so that all sides get a bit of crispy browning. Beef doesn’t need to be completely cooked through when done.
Reduce heat to medium. Add the broccoli florets, any leftover marinade, and 1/2 cup water. Salt and pepper. Stir. Cover and let broccoli steam until tender, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Top with green onions or sesame seeds before serving if you're after a little crunch. Enjoy!
